First Birthday Cake Smash

Hi all, here is my first time doing a cake smash with who else but my own nephew. It was lots of fun, I would like to thinking the lighting and set up worked well. The only thing I regret is leaving the cake on the plate, huge "duh" on my part. Here are a few shots, any 2 cents you can offer is appreciated!

Is it just me or does the baby seem a tad blue and underexposed?

EDIT: Cute baby though! How is the mess to pick up afterwards? haha

I did try to warm it up in PP... It might be kind of cool yet. It wasn't bad, took the glass outside and washed it and then rolled up the paper and tossed it. You'll have to ask my sister about cleaning the baby though

Yeah, I agree a little blue. I assume because of all that blue bouncing up at him in the setting. I'd adjust just him and not the background.

The pictures are fine; I think the WB is okay, but the background is throwing a slight blue cast on the scene. I have to admit however, this whole concept baffles me. What is the point?

Really? What's the point of any photo? I had fun with my first studio set up and he had fun smashing a cake in front of my camera. It was great!

I know where your coming from the whole concept of this cake smash just seem so corny to me must be an American thing
The main thing i don't like is the reflection

1st Birthday, baby enjoying his Birthday Cake. I get it. My only 2cents would be to crop the left and right on the #1 and get a Portrait orientation and to crop off a bit on the top of #3 (which is my favoritie of this set and makes me smile) to balance the result a bit better, IMHO.
