First C&C

So, I finally got a DSLR today. I went with the Nikon D90 and I am using a AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens. I went out and shot about 100 shots tonight and these are my best 3 for C&C. Any help would be appreciated. I don't really know what I am doing. I have read some of the tutorials, but I am still learning.

Unfortunately, I don't have a tri pod, and I think that will be my next purchase. I didn't know how valuable that they could be and I thought that I could just save my pennies for a really nice one, but now I think I will get a decent one to get me going.

save your pennies and get a good tripod. if you get a mediocre one now, you will just have to get a better one later.

I am a sucker for Dog photos .. so I have to include number 1 .. but number 2 is good! ..

Welcome to the forums .. I have learned a TON of great information here .. and remember to take some of the C&C with a grain of salt .. lol .. some feed back is brutal here .. but with people like me .. it just makes me work harder on my photography skills .. and IMO thats what its all about
