Hi

I originally bought a camera (Canon Kiss X4) for musical instrument photos to put on my website. After a while photography became a hobby I didn't expect! Still a low priority hobby but I take my camera to places like my or friends' concerts, etc. This is from a concert of some friends and first time I took photos in a concert. I don't have a fast les (f/3.5-5.6). I used ISO 1600 most of the time but I'm not sure if it is good enough with this camera (maybe ok?). I accidently forgot IS off (oops!) though I'm not sure how much that would help since they are moving (I guess it would help some anyway?).

1) 15mm, f/3.5, 1/80, ISO 1600

if we culd only see more of the guy in #3 that wuld be great

IS doesn't really matter. Not in this case anyway. I don't have IS on any of the lenses I use to shoot shows. ::shrugs::

#1 and #4 are the only ones in which you can actually see dudes playing instruments, haha. 2 and 3 are too washed out by the fog to really make an impact. If #3 wasn't *so* washed out and you could see more of the musician, it could be cool. If #5 was my image, I would have just thrown it in the trash, honestly. You can barely make out that it's a person, and you have to squint and strain to even realize he's holding a guitar, haha.

erose - for most of your concert/shows photos, do you use primarily your T2i or do you use another camera?

Nice shots! My fave is the 3rd one as well! Like the fog effect and framing!
