hope you enjoyed this set

ummmmmmmmm well.....for starters, that light is seriously harsh... and watch the backgrounds, with better light, you can open it up and get better bokeh -seperating the subject from the background.

ok, aside from lighting....... anything else that makes or breaks these photos or does the lighting just void all of the compositions all together?

Background is poor.
Black shiny dog ... better under overcast sky, diffused lighting is better.

Cute dogs!! I have a black dog and they are hard to shoot. Try shooting early in the morning or late evening so the sun isn't so harsh. Keep practicing!!

i know its good to hear the bad on something in order to improve, but is there anything good about these? i understand the lighting conditions should be better but what about composition and all that

Pictures of dogs on the lawn.

Leave the fence....need to post process all of these images. Google it....get some photoshop. The blurry dog is a blurry dog. Check out some of the animal shots on this forum and see how they compose their pics. Anyway....good start at photography. The light is way way too harsh.

As far as composition, the two dogs is ok, but improperly shot. The shots are generally balanced, but there is nothing real interesting in any of them. Just a dog is just a dog....look for interesting shapes and lighting and textures. Good luck

no offense but i like how you say "get some photoshop" like its not a 700 dollar piece of software, im working on saving up for NX2. im not much of a photoshop person because personally it feels like cheating, although itll help with some stuff i just dont see myself doing drastic changes to make up for the cost of such software

my uncle had given me a copy of cs2 years back with 8 discs of tutorials, it was very helpful until my laptop crashed and i lost the cs2 discs. whenever i see people photoshop images, they usually look like a hodgepodge of mixed colors and frankenstein subjects

I agree. I think photoshop should be used to make images more like the actual scene. Photoshop does this extremely well.

only rarely have i come across photos that have been photoshopped that dont even look like they have been, that is editing id like to learn in the future

Not that it should be said aloud on this forum...but photoshop can be obtained from the internet in the same way songs are...you know what I mean? You should search for CS2....download it and learn how to use it. It is not cheating to try to make the digital images look more like they did with the naked eye...that is the point of post processing. Get a photoshop book and read it. Good luck
You're right, that shouldn't be said out loud on this forum. Deliberately stealing something shouldn't be hinted at, suggested, or condoned in any way, and you really should edit that out of your comment.
