I can't tell it's HDR, which is probably why I like it. I notice you're using a T2i and this is shot at 55mm at f/5.6. Is this your kit lens? The bokeh is very creamy.

I'm way to new at this also to offer any advice.... I think the second one is very good. To me the first seemed a little washed out in the area of the flowers on the left of the frame (top of the branch).

yes i used 6 different exposures, and yes it is the kit lense
