first night time light streak

so the tripod my dad gave me sucks and it tilts to the left but it added some character to it anyway so im not totally displeased with the result

LOL! It tilts to the left? And it can't be adjusted to compensate in any way? What is it, 3 pieces of rebar welded into a bolt on top? Hehehe...

How about twist the camera on top to face slightly different direction to level it out? Or stick a brick under one or two legs? Or saw off part of the leg that's too long?

The shot itself is interesting, as an experimental image for you to learn and grow with, mostly. The tree in the middle splitting the composition makes little to no sense at all to me, nor does a part of a sign on the left side of the composition. It's just a moving light for the sake of a moving light.

From this starting point, you can now start thinking about a real subject and how a moving light can tell a story about that subject.

if theres any safe place or time to get into it ive always wanted to go to the bridge that goes over the main highway and do lightstreaks off that, but theres really no safe place to stand there, or maybe just a busier road with a sidewalk, but that area isnt too good to be out at 10 pm with a 600 dollar camera.

the problem with the tripod is the part the camera sits ontop that the bolt is connected to that lets you tilt the camera to the left and right 90 degrees, its impossible to center the camera.
