First Osprey Shot.

[Braineack]

Nothing great. There were two in my backyard, and about 20 other birds trying to chase them away. the noise interrupted my egg breakfast and I quickly grabbed the camera and run outside.

One is still out there, it wont stop barking. I waited about twenty minutes for it to fly again, but I grew bored. I missed the first set of them flying around because I was at 1/250, not the 1/1250 I thought I set it at.

Anyway, enjoy:

I missed the poo just moments after this shot.

That is the first Osprey I ever seen doing hand stands.

Rotfl - well, the first shot is good but the second is just a show stopper. Entirely too funny.

Well, it's not an Osprey.. sorry to be the bearer of bad news Looks more like a red shouldered hawk to me... Nice job on the first one. Hope you didn't need to clean your lens after the second one

Good catch kris, that explains the handstands.:lmao:

Yeah I noticed the brown eyes after taking the shots... I'm not near water so makes more sense but I wasn't aware of other birds of prey in this area.

Here's a few more shots to try to help identify:

Eye color tells me red shoulder.. the last pic is a red tail for sure..

I'm not really sure, the more I look at it... I went back through my RS Hawk pictures.
This is a baby from a rehab center. Kind of looks the closest.. I think?
