Yeah.... People here will tell you, I used to be just like you, still am sometimes. Just because you have a camera doesn't mean you should start charging people for photography. What if someone bought a stethoscope, would that automatically qualify them to be your doctor? No. Do this shoot for free, since you can't get out of it. I would say don't do a paid shoot until you are 100% sure you have the right equipment, skill, experience, and confidence to do so. I've had my camera for about a year now and still haven't done any paid shoots, but a lot of free ones for practice. Some I keep for my "portfolio," and the rest I look at and learn from. The fear I have with this shoot of yours is communication. Have you been talking to the company yourself or has it just been your sister? Cause if it's the latter, there's certainly the possibility of miscommunication. I would check with them and let them know how much experience you have and what you can reasonably offer them. I lined up a paid shoot once and cancelled 3 days before it because I realized I didn't have what it takes to do the shoot. Honesty with yourself will go a long way, you have to be your own worst critic.
