First picture post

Hey guys, this is my first picture post here so I'll attach two images. Please feel free to help me along, I'm a hobbyist and eager to learn from you guys.

This one was from a picnic near the river


and from a photoshoot with a friend in a corn field.

I think both of these are great! I love the compositions.

My one criticism is with the first image. The back feathers are too blown out. It almost has a cut-out look to it. If you could bring back in a just a little more detail to the feathers.

The cornfield shot is very strong, as is. I like the off-beat perspective.

Wow. Beautiful perspective on both of these. I think the goose looking out of frame begs for a little recomposing but maybe you were going for a little tension. Absolutely love the unique corn shot. Very cool.

The swan shot is lovely and i agree with jenko's concern.

The first shot is absolutely grabbing. A powerful shot if I have seen one. The contrast is wonderful and you can still focus on the subject.
