My first post here and this was also my first experience in this kind of photography.

Like it! The panning works really well with it, gives it a far greater sense of speed than if you were to just freeze the movement.

To be honest, I didn't really want to risk doing a panning shot, since it was my first time photographing an event like this... but the lights had just gone off because of a storm and there wasn't much available light. So I figured probably a panning would be the best way to get something usable. I picked up the 50mm, got closer and tried it at 1/60 ISO 400
