First Post from Beginner - Am I on the right track?

I'm new to digitial photography and photoshop. I'm figuring it out as I go (with a lot of help from books and this site!). Here's a shot that I took in Arizona's Painted Desert last week on vacation. Any thoughts on improvements welcome (before I process the other 1300 images )

You have some nice colors in the sky to match the ground so I think the 1/2 composition works here. And maybe a slight curve adjustment. Very nice shot.
