First shot with the 30D C&C

I think using the flash might not have been the best idea... or the flash was used wrong. The flower almost is blown out in some places because of the flash.

And yup I finally got it!

the focus looks soft...might be a result of the flash.....or maybe its time to change my contacts again

Ya I would agree the focus does look pretty soft. This is the 18-55 kits lens we are talking about lol so I am not expecting miracles with it haha

I like the color. Really rich and smoooooth.

The one part of a flower in the left upper corner could be distracting. Also, I don't know if you should leave the one part of the flower petal out of the photo like you did. But I'm new to this, so its very possible this is better.
