First try at insects

The second photo i played with using Photomatix because i was bored. I kinda like how it turned out. Any thoughts? Thanks

They are all out of focus and the second one looks completely fake (not my taste but I know some people that would like it).

Did you saturate these images much; i find them over saturated; i liked the first image; third has something special about it

I agree, it does have potential but I do wish it was sharper.

For your first attempt, they look good! Macro is really challenging especially when your subject is moving.
