There seems to be a lot of empty space in the first one on the left side but I don't know anything about skateboarding, so fo rall I know that space could be meaningful.
And wow! The second one is too neat!!!! :thumbup:

the empty space needs to be there, the photo looks weird in my opinion if you crop it any differently.

I agree that the first one has too much space, but I do understand how it might look odd if that space wasn't there, so I'd say it keep it the way it is, it looks fine. And the second one, well, the second one is awesome! You should do more with that style for sure!

I would clone out the tennis court net. it draws the eyes away from where the action is.
