Fisheye/ Wide angle lens,

I must admit that I never got the appeal of a fisheye lens. Have you ever used one before? I ask because I have read many times that people buy them and then quickly get bored with them. Unless you know for a fact that you want one you may consider renting one for a few days and seeing if you really want to spend $600+ on one. For about $50 you could rent one for a week and see how it goes.

The Bower 8mm fisheye is pretty good if you don't mind shooting in Manual mode 24/7. The optics are pretty good for $250

Well if u have any recommendations for more expensive glass, feel free to post (:

Camera mount?

Full-frame or crop sensor?

Wide-angle, or fisheye?

If fisheye, 180° corner to corner, or circular fisheye?

fisheye, crop sensor (canont3i), Camera mount? what do you mean, and im not sure what difference between cicrcular and corner 2 corner is

Two flavors of fisheye:

180° across the diagonal of the sensor:

180° across the small dimension of the sensor ("Circular fisheye"):

corner 2 corner the first one.

Truthfully, I seriously considered it as well. But I decided to spring for the Nikkor 10.5.... being slightly faster, will autofocus w/D7000, and is smaller & lighter. But the Rokinon/Vivitar/Samyang/Bower/Opteka/Bell & Howell/Falcon seems to be a great budget lens.

Haha, most people would include me. I'll never buy a fisheye. Guess I'm helping drive up their cost. Sorry, OP!

Hint: Software can correct the distortion.
