flash question

on the nikon d60, how do you turn off the flash in manual mode?

I'm not sure about the D60 specifically...but with a Canon, you just push the flash down. It only pops up by itself when in the 'picture modes'.

Yeah - on my Olympus you hit the little flash button (the classic lightning bolt thing) on top and access all the settings, and off is in there. But on some others you just push the flash down. Try to find the flash button on the camera, you should be able to turn it off.

Haven't seen the D60 but in manual mode it shouldn't pop up....most likely in Auto or the green box mode.

If the flash pops up in manual, there's something wrong somewhere.

It really was as simple as pushing the flash down! I should've known it was that easy...
