Taken @ 1/3200, f/8 and ISO ranging from 1250 to 1600. A little de noise was used on the 1st pic.

I was expecting to see red, white and blue stars and stripes :D

However, it's a great action set, well timed.

Have you tried shooting a little slower? I rarely shoot above 1/2000 unless It's super bright and need to drop the exposure.

You're right, I've taken good pics @ 1/1250th. I thought it was going to be OK because it started with enough light/lower ISO @ 1/3200 when it was sitting still, that's why I chose that setting but you know how the ISO can change along with the changing light when they get moving so ultimately it proved too fast a s.s. I think I'll just play it safe and go with 1600 for now on. Thanks for pointing that out, though, I appreciate the feedback.
