So we went on a nature walk at Lone Pine Park in Kalispell, MT and it was absolutely gorgeous! If you're ever in the area look it up, it's not a long drive and it's pretty easy to hike through (I went in flats, carrying a toddler in one arm and my camera in the other, so definitely easy!) Anyway, these are some of the pictures I collected (I've included the flickr links as well).

Still trying to figure out my first DSLR but for a beginner I'm pretty proud of them!

Very nice and let me welcome you to the forum if no one has as yet. One posting comment - you will make it a lot easier for folks to review your images if you number them as you post them, that way they are not flipping back and forth to ensure they have the right image for their review. I think I like the third one (left side, second row) the best - it is a nice B&W conversion. For the second one (right side, first row), I would crop a little off the right side to get rid of that bit of that out 0f focus (OOF) blue flower in the centre. I find it just a bit distracting.

Overall, the primary subject is sharp in each photo and you have just the right amount of OOF background that helps to emphasize the main subject without being distracting.
