Not so sure about composition...

well i tried a few shots and lower numbers gave me a DOF too blurry.

I was actually surprised at how shallow the DoF looked at f/29; but I guess it has something to do with your focal length Maybe try getting closer and lowering the focal length and lowering the f-stop, While increasing shutter speed! (If there is a next time anyway )

That close at 300mm there isn't much DoF

the reason for the focal length is because i didn't have my 18-55 at hand. Also the 55-300 only auto focused at that distance(around 10 feet from the flowers) so i got to zoom in completely. Hopefully this week my 50mm 1.8 will be shipped home so i can try this again with it
