Well the day finally came. We got old Doc off the ground. It wasn’t easy, but B-29 Doc takes to Wichita skies
First, let me say, by we I mean the folks here in and around Wichita that had the skills to refurbish Doc. My contribution as were many, financial donations. I in no way have the abilities to recreate a 70 year old highly technical metal part much less work on a WWII vintage B29 bomber.
I think the video says it all. Was great to watch Doc finally lift into the air once again. A wonderful piece of history saved.
