Foggy sunrise at the dock

So I'm trying my hand at more general artistic photography to sell on the side. After seeing some awesome long exposure stuff I decided to get a 10-stop ND to stack on my 6-stop. I'm still getting the hang of things. On some of my shots I get a crazy light leak along the top of the frame. I have the viewfinder shutter closed so my only guess is its coming through the filters on certain shots. I'm going to try some black tape to see if that will help.

Here is one I took this morning.

Nikon D800
Nikkor 17-35 f/2.8 @ 22mm-f/5.6
331 seconds...sooo 5 minutes, 30ish seconds I think.

Great photo! Did you have to edit around the sun? Whenever I shot a long exposure it comes out as sort of a streak.

I didn't. The fog was a very nice diffuser.

Beautiful. It must have been so still to get that photo without the boats blurring due to the rocking of the water. Great capture.
