I used this shot for DPS's weekly assignment, but I rarely actually receive any feedback from there, so I was hoping to get some from this fine community. :-) the assignment was color contrast. Pease don't hold back, I can take it!

Ps. I am having trouble getting the HTML code linked on the mobile app. I would appreciate some help there if anyone has any tips. :-)

Nice and close, and I like the diagonal, but it looks a little soft in focus. I, personally, would like to see a deeper DoF.

I see too much do nothing space... the small brown spot that the stem was attached is a distraction...lighting looks good

I will give that a shot next time! For now, my lighting was pretty limited so I used a wider aperture. I will keep it I'm mind next time though. Thank you.

What would you do to fix that? A tighter crop? More veggies?? I would love some elaboration on that if you could please!

Edit: I missed your crop the first time. I agree it looks better!

Use a tripod if you have one (or access to one) - that way you can use a slower shutter speed and a smaller aperture. If you are getting really close (or otherwise magnifying the scene) your DoF is going to be smaller, so you want to try to shoot a smaller aperture to compensate.

Mully's crop looks good.

My tripod is broken at the moment. :-( it fell apart in the move. Note taken though!

I feel your pain - mine is a state away with my son in college. Hope to get him one in the next few weeks, or so.
