Here you go... What do you think?

Forehead is close to being blown out.. way to bright. Lighting needs to be more even. Nice and sharp, but the lighting kills it for me. Background is very wrinkled also...

Pretty model. To me it looks like the light on her forehead is too harsh. I mean this in the nicest way possible but her chin needs some work in order to not distract. I guess I can't criticize the background since I don't know what this photo will be used for, but it looks a little sloppy.

Id say 6 out of 10.

What Charlie said. I would also try to get her hair under control a little.

How did you know the background is wrinkled? How bad is it? I adjusted the exposure so it's basically black and shot at f 5.6 so it shouldn't be that bad...

I agree with the points made so far regarding exposure and the need for some editing. I would also venture the disarray of the hair on her shoulders is distracting, looks sloppy.

The wrinkles, or drape of the background is clearly visible in the photo.

This looks like one big soft box in the wrong place. One eye is shadowed and has no catchlight, the hair looks flat and poorly separated from the background. This lighting setup makes her cheekbone look great, but everything else is not so hot. She looks quite good, though, nice posing.

1. Very hot lighting on the forehead and cheek bones. A larger softbox or more distance would make this softer.
2. EYES! not uniform... this is mostly from lighting positioning. Also having her turn her head so far from the camera angle forcing the eyes to move to the edge. Add more white space in the edges. Good key to correct positioning is to turn head just till the ear dissappears. She has gorgeous green eyes but this photo does not show it.
3. fly hairs are everywhere!
4. You are shooting her with one light correct? I see no rim lighting, fill, etc. It's OK, just need a bigger soft box or use some form of reflectors for fill
5. Skin is kind of reddish
6. chin too high and shoulders are too angled.

Just my C&C, good model!

A good reference on some of the issues are here 35 Photography Poses Tips/Tricks Guidelines - Part 2 | FreeDigitalPhotographyTutorials.com

Also I did a huge addition on lighting here: http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/...9286-new-feature-photography-tutorials-2.html

Keep shooting, everything gets better and you shot was not bad, we all had this shot at one time or another.

Small file but you can get the highlights under control... the hair is another matter

Still seems too hot in the for head, nose tip, and bridge area to me. Definetly better though. This would need lots of post processing.

Light was too directional and too hot on the forehead.

Seems like he needs a big(ger) softbox, close(r) to the model, at maybe a lower output (to let the background fall to black), and maybe a bounce card on the left for fill.

Actually, I think it just needed to be lower with maybe a bounce under the model in front.

The pose itself cute, but has no catchlight in the left (model right) eye which throws the balance off. And the pose isn't suitable for an actual headshot, as agencies (almost) always want a dead ahead look.

Cause you can see it.
