My parents 2 pit bulls would get it to a spat as only pit bulls can. My parents would kick and scream to separate them and send them to their corners for a time out.
Dew Seed the white wisp of a cat after observing the spectacle would casually leaver her perch and wander over to one of the pit bulls. Smack it in the snoot several times with one paw. Wander over to the other one and repeat the procedure before returning to her perch.
I guess the pit bulls knew who was boss of that house.

Thanks Ron! I'm now 100% sure. I always guessed. I got 2 cats, other one is an orange Tabby. That one I knew for sure.
