Thanks bud. I am almost done with film in the 35 and 120 format. 120 may take another 6 months to a year. 4 x 5 is 50% in process. I have already purchased a 8 x 10 so that will be my focus in 2020 as well as 4x5. I have set up two travel arrangements to expedite my projects. My goal is to be 100% digital by 2021. I know it doesn't sound right but it works for me in this process. I want to make big prints when my big prints suck, if that makes any sense.

I will at that time decide my format, process, and print work flow. My goal is to make images with one system and then embark on output commerce.

Since you seem to like older lenses a lot I might suggest a used Nikon D800 which has non CPU lens settings for I think it is 8 lenses

Tri-X 400, can't even estimate how much of that stuff we went through. Bought it in bulk rolls and reloaded our cassettes. Made it nice as we could load as much or little as we needed without wasting film. Just the best all around for our work at the paper.

I'm confused by your earlier comment JC, I thought you were going away from digital permanently, but now it sounds like you're coming back.

No, I have been using analog to sharpen my photography skills as far as process. My goal is to make an image. At this point (4 years later), I am comfortable that my medium format, GFX50R is my digital choice. Enlarging, zone metering, etc. has been very helpful. However, 4 x5 has been great and hopefully 8 x 10 will be equal experience. I may end up shooting analog 80% but it wont be 35mm and probably not 120mm. I am waiting on a new 4 x 5 now that I am comfortable with it. 8 x 10 is next, borrowing one those as well.

My guess is that I will settle on digital, GFX 80% and 4 x 5 analog 20%.

Sounds good. I am about a year away in my estimation. That model along with the DF has been of interest to me. I love my nikkor legacy glass. The gfx is great but it is horrible for me with portraits, its too detailed and requires a lot of editing.
