Found a photo club locally

I finally found a photo club that meets like 4 or 5 times a month. Anyone else go to these type of meetings? I am looking forward to it.

I go to a club up by me that meets 2 times per month. I like it a lot. I have also found a meetup group of photographers that is fun. They do all kinds of stuff from Photoshop sessions to glamor shoots. My favorite is when we meet for happy hour once a month. A good time to share and chat.

Excellent! :thumbup: I belong to one that meets on average twice a month; once for a shooting session and once for a lecture/seminar/critique session.

I have yet to offically join a club my schoolwork keeps me pretty occupied, hopefully this summer more time will free up 8)

Me and some friends that met on another forum have quarterly meeting involving beer and photography. 2 part beer for each part photography for best results.

Excellent. This is the one I belong to: Lakeshore Camera Club

Meeting each week on Monday (actually, tonight, but I will be missing it due to some urgent work), and there are workshops, training sessions, competitions, etc. Best money in photography I ever invested. Great people too.

I meet regularly with the Glamour Club of Cincinnati. Great group.

Look on flickr. Lots of local clubs have flickr accounts where members will post photos from outings. Its a good place to start at least.

I meet with the Ohio Valley Camera Club and the Wedding/Portrait group at their happy hour once a month and do a few things with them. How is the glamour group?

I've gone to a couple of the OVCC meetups and I'd love to attend the happy hour but it's too far. There was a thread once about alternating the happy hour to the northern suburbs, which would work a lot better for me, but nothing ever came of it. The glamour club group is awesome. Shad Ramsey runs it, his studio is in Bellevue. A lot of fun. And a lot of the folks there also attend the OVCC stuff.
