The focus was a bit off in this shot, but it will probably still be the mixtape cover. He's doing a personality clash type mixtape called cas vs. royce which is his alter-ego. I also wish i could have got some more light in his eye.

1. Pretty good lighting, good focus, but the pose is 'ok'. Doesn't really do much for me. (DBJ is talking about the REALLY dark shadow in the corner of his eye)
2. Good idea, but for a shot like this to work, the focus needs to be spot on imo. The hard focus on the lips and the eyes being out of focus is a huge drawback for me. I'd definitely reshoot before putting it on a mixtape cover.
3. I think I understand the point you were going for in this shot, but it sort of fails (don't be offended). If you want to go with the head down pose with hat, try to include more chin in the shot to give him somewhat of a face feature. Right now, its just an out of focus forearm shot and hat.

Ok, i see what dbj is talking about now, i guess its a shadows from one of his dreads. Thats my best guess, lol.
