OK, I've done a number of presentations on a topic I have some background on--shooting soap bubbles. All week in the DC area the highs never got above freezing. And, there was no wind at sunrise today and the temps were optimal (not above 20-F). So I did the necessary prep and voila--soap bubbles with crystals and/or snowflakes inside them. The shots with an orange blob inside or the left of the bubble? That's the rising sun.

That's really cool!

Cool experiment there🤪. What's the story with the star shaped ice cube, just normal tap water or distilled?

I did not know you could do that.

Heads to garden with soapy water.........

No. It's a mixture of dish soap, water, and corn syrup. And it's not an ice cube but instead a cookie cutter. You dip it in a tray of the solution and then snowflakes and crystals begin forming in the liquid. But it's still mostly liquid (suspended by the star frame of the cookie cutter). You could poke your finger through it easily.
