Fur or feather?

These Long tailed tits always look like a ball of fur with a long feathered tail.

I am sure they were the inspiration for the Tweetie-pie cartoon

Dull flat light - considering whether I would have to use flash to get any exposure. f2.8 iso 400.

This is a cute bird btw. Look like the birds from my iphone application. "Angry Birds" lol

If only I had your CA light . . . here it was a flat grey winter's day about 0°C
If you set a camera to auto it would give you something like 1/50th at f2.8 at iso 400 - hardly conclusive to sharp crisp well lit images. These little critters are about the size of your thumb - plus tail and do not hang around, so you grab what you can get . . . This was the expression that I could not resist and felt some of the mood would be lost if I made it look like a bright summer's day.

As always I welcome comments - it is a learning process and thank all who put finger to keyboard in response to a posting . . . that is what makes a forum.
