Gary Fong Lightsphere Mod (easy to do)

This may or may not have been posted here before but Im new here so sue me. I just bought my first lightsphere and within 5 minutes of using it, i was annoyed beyond belief. The damn thing wobbles like there's no tomorrow! Each time I shift from landscape to portrait, it comes very close to comming off. So i decided to do a quick and easy undoable mod to end my frustration:

Using simple 3M velcro, I made the thing incredibly secure. Now it won't come off even if you bump it against something. Im incredibly pleased.

I put the male velcro on the inner rim of the lightsphere and the the female velcro on the flash.

I've never had a problem with mine wobbling, did you buy the right size? Anyways, good idea on how to make it stay. I still think my favorite modification for the LightSphere is Zack Arias' DarkSphere method.

Yours looks different than mine where the sphere attaches to the flash. I have one that came with a velcro strap and secures it to the flash unit.

The spheres are made to fit certain flashes, sounds like you may have been sold the wrong one.

no i dont. its the right one. its just wasn't as tight as i'd like it to be. it is now.
