Those interior sections, the old bogs, will alternate between flooded and dry as you walk further up. They changed the water flow around last year to try and attract more shore birds. You'll see ducks, Heron and Egret feeding in the flooded sections and then the raptors hunting the dry sections. I have heard stories of an albino owl there but i'm thinking it is just a bad id of the grey ghost that I posted a few weeks ago.

That is some catch, both the Heron and the photographer. That is one big fish with the scale of the Heron !!. Great timing with excellent behaviour, great to see.
