Getting a D200

I am on a waiting list for the D200. (I hope my hair is not much grayer and not more sparse by the time I get it!!!)

Anyway, I was wondering how the hsitogram function is used.

It's used to check exposure of the image. The D200 has RG&B histograms instead of just a single overall histogram.
It's probably best to check the manual, it should answer your questions about the camera.
