Getting better at this...

Hmm, it can't be ideal to shoot the moon at f/11? I mean, as Netskimmer mentioned, the moon will move across the frame at 1500mm, and f/11 doesn't let in that much light.

On average moon light intensity, what would be your exif info, Netskimmer?

Both of my shots in this thread were at ISO 200 with a shutter speed of 1/25s. I probably should have gone with a higher ISO and faster shutter speed and I tried to take some at ISO 500 but my batteries died before I could get any really good ones.

As for aperture, the teleconverter reduces the aperture size of the lens by 2 stops which must be accounted for so the darker pic was at f/11 (reduced to f/22 buy the TC) and the brighter shot was at f/8 (reduced to f/11 by the TC). At least I think that is what my settings were. It was very late, I was very tired, and since my Cambron is a non-cpu lens the aperture settings were not recorded in the EXIF data.

I have read several places that "middle of the road apertures" f/8, f/11, ect, are usually best for shooting the moon. I also read at least one article were the guy said he got his best results at f/16 so smaller apertures aren't necessarily a bad thing.
