well yes there is only so much you can do without makeup but still, I like to think there are still photographers out there that do mostly natural beauty shots and even though the models arent plastered with makeup they still look beautiful and the photo looks amazing. But I do agree, having a MUA does give you more range for different styles and looks.

or get a Model who's really good at makeup

Yea good photographs....Makeup is an activity in fashion...so u are right to delineate it in the first and second pix.....Makeup changes a lot on the face.
