girls weekend away...

Taken on my girls weekend away! I was "slightly" under the influence and we were in a dark motel type room at night time. I used my speedlight with diffuser on. What do you reckon?

I reckon that your "slightly" and my "slightly" are just slightly different! Given the circumstances, not bad. I think if you took the time to clone out the 'I put my speedlight where a speedlight should never go' catchlights and added in some better ones, they'd be pretty decent.

you are so right! haha I haven't grasped how to set speedlight up off camera yet, it's easy I'm sure. Maybe ill go put some fake catch lights in!... thanks. p.s) I was pretty pissed!

You don't always have to point the speedlight directly at your subjects, either. Even with it in the hotshoe, you can bounce the light off any nearby white surface. Wall, ceiling, somebody's tee-shirt.
