40. ThinkTank Streetwalker Pro. I don't use any of the pockets on the outside of the flap because I'm usually carrying a tripod or monopod. Besides, if I need to open the pack to get out a camera, I want everything else to be just as available..... I don't want to start flipping the cover this way and that just to find something.

And no, I didn’t get the version that carries a laptop….. I have no need for a laptop in the field so I don’t carry it.

Am I happy with it? Yes. Is there something else that would serve me better? Most likely, but I can't afford to buy pack after pack after pack until I find nirvana.

I have a tenba messenger bag in plum. I have my camera with a 50mm lens, 55-300mm, 18-55mm, 2 sb700 speedlights and some other stuff in it and there is still room. It has space for an iPad/laptop. There is a zipper on top of the bag so you can grab the camera out and shoot without having to lift the flap to get inside. It's a nice color for a girl and it doesn't look like a camera bag. The strap is comfortable and it doesn't slide at all.

I had the hardest time picking a bag out, especially online. I ended up going out of state and this was recommended by the store. It's about 100.00.

There are literally hundreds of choices. Do you want one for long term storage or field use, do you want one for all your gear or just for what you need for a particular session, do you want a hard case or a soft one, do you want a shoulder bad, a back pack or a belt pack .....

The best suggestion is to bring everything you want to carry in a bag to a camera store and try some out from the display they have on hand. This will give you an idea of the features and size you prefer. Who knows, maybe there will be one right there in the store that will work out just right.

The tenba bags come in small and large. The small is only a few inches smaller than the large. I have the small one.

I'm using a Lowepro Fastpack 200. This model has a compartment for other stuff than camera equipment, and that was a big selling point for me. I like to add pack some food, something to drink, gloves and stuff, and not just camera equipment. It hasn't got a dedicated tripod strap/holder, but that doesn't bother me. I can 1) put one of the legs through the top holding strap and let it dangle (lol) or 2) strap it across on the front.

I own a 40D, tokina 12-24mm, nifty fifty, charger, card reader, two CF cards, battery holder, batteries, lens caps and stuff. Basically just accessories other than the camera and the two lenses. Plenty of room for that, and still room for more. The backpack feels good on the body as well.

I could post a pic, but it won't show anything other than the interwebs will show you. Besides, I used mine for clothes this weekend so it's all messed up.

My shoulders are breaking looking at that! LOL!
I carry what I am actually shooting with and the spare basic set of lenses, meter, speedlight setup, a lens pen and memory cards.
In my rolling case I keep all of the rest of that. I can't imagine carrying all of that at one time. I'd feel like a pack mule!
Please don't use lens fluid on your lenses! It's really not good for them! Invest in a lens pen or 10. They're worth their weight in gold and won't ruin the coating on a lens.
If I am shooting for me personally I put exactly what I need in my bag. If I am shooting professionally my rolling case is never far behind-it's my posing stool, step ladder and pack mule!

It is crazy good Destin. I didnt know it has all of this stuff until I got it. So it is a rolling suitcase small enough that you use as a carry-on when you fly. Then it can unzip from the base and it turns into a backpack. AND, the handle to roll it around, you can mount camera on the top of it so you can use it as an emergency tripod LOL.
