Good walk around & Food Photography Lens

I have a Canon EOS Rebel t3I with the kit lens 18-55mm. I'm looking for a new lens. What I'd be using it for is food, street, family. Keep in mind I don't have a lot to spend. What are some good lens for those kind of things?
