Got some nice Bear shots in Banff, Alberta, Canada last month.

I've always wanted bear shots in the wild, (not zoos) and haven't had much luck in WA or OR state.
Went to Banff, Alberta, Canada with my wife to meet my lifelong high school best friend who also is an photographer. We had a blast along with getting some bear shots. Of course this isn't as good as the expensive paid guided services for bears with $10,000 long fix lenses... we were just driving around different places.

Brown bear, possibly a young grizzly?

Lucky you to have that experience! The only bears we have down here are Koalas.

Nice shots! In Germany, they killed the last one of them a long time ago... Big mammals are very good subjects, you don´t need to zoom that far and they don´t move that fast, only thing is they can be dangerous.
