If you like it, that's what counts. I would have preferred focus on the face but it is a cute shot.

So much of the impact of any shot is effected by pushing the viewers' eyes towards what you want them to look at.
So much of the image is lighter than the boy's face and the had is so OOF, it is hard to keep my eye on the boy.
I believe that the 'extra' space in any image should be removed; it just drains any impact from what's left.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the feedback, I have not yet mastered focusing, more like point and shoot and let the camera autofocus, this is not helping i know, btw how do i set my Canon 500D to autofocus on a preselected AF point..?
