Grandaughter on the playground

Took the Grandaughter to the playground and the Nikon made its way there as well...please let me know what you think.

Went for a innocent dreamy kinda look. She is 1.5 years old.

This picture kind of spooks me out. I think it was over-processed and now looks more ghostly than anything. I would like to see the original as well.

Worry about the photo and the subject and ignore the effects for a while. Walk before you can run.

I see where you were going, and if you look, a big part of your problem is the background. If you had a nice, plain, monochromatic background, free of lines & patterns, you would have been able to achieve what you were after with much less "intensity". As a practice exercise, may I suggest cutting her out of the shot, pasting onto a plain white background and experimenting some more with the technique? She certainly has the look to make that shot work.

I usually try to stay strong, but by the time she looks at me with those big blue eyes im already in the truck to go get what she wants.....lol
