Green Screen Rapunzel?

So I had a bit of a difficult time finding a good background for this shot, but I ended up with this. Lighting is close, and it fits the theme, but it's a little noisy, and I'm not sure how I feel about the smoke/mist/whatever on the borders...

For me, her face and hair are too hot almost blown out. My suggestion would be to pick 1 (ONE) thing to work on at a time. Trying to green screen and get flash right and the WB of both is making things WAY more complicated. Build into it.

I know what you mean about the light borders...not sure what that's supposed to be, but a light vignette over a dark background almost always is considered a bit "off". On the positive side, the fry pan has its own shadow on the wall, which helps the realism. I would try to recover the overexposed areas on her face with highlight recovery or a layer with a screen applied.

John, have you seen "Tangled?" Frying pans are a thing in that.

I'll see what I can do about the highlights, but it didn't look too bad to me. My main concern is the background. Derrel, I'm getting pretty good at creating shadows, eh? Besides the white borders, do you think it's otherwise usable?

I have not sen the movie Tangled, so the whole frying pan thing is totally news to me! But...I guess that makes sense now, given a dose of the current cultural trend! Who knew? (Only the millions who saw Tangled, right? lol)

I guess the picture is usable, yeah, sure. I'm not sure where it's usable, but hey, there's gotta be a web page where she works, you know as one of the "party princess/party hostesses" or whatever the job is called. I've seen a few people who do this, and they have pics of themselves and the costumes/characters they can portray for children's parties. It might look even better if it were treated with a very bold, heavy special effect or color treatment: the character is in fact a fictional, fantasy or cartoon-type persona, so I do not think that utter realism is high on the list of needed qualities for photos of such a character.

The first thing that bugged me is that the frying pan is to new, you need to get a good old cast iron frying pan, I think it would help a lot!
I like the idea and the photo!
