GREEN to photography!!!

I VERY new to photography and I'm thinking about buying a D90 or a D7000. Would buying a camera kit off Ebay be a good thing to do? Help me out!!!! Thanks.​

Got my D7000 that way. It's pretty much like buying anything else off ebay. If you know what you are doing and do your research on the seller you should be ok. I would go with an authorized Nikon dealer if possible. A local brick and mortar store is usually preferable so you can handle what you are buying.

A couple of very trusted and reputable sites to buy new and used equipment are B&H B&H Photo Video Digital Cameras, Photography, Camcorders and Adorama Digital cameras, all other cameras and everything photographic from Adorama Camera

Welcome to the forum.
I'm not a Nikon owner but the kits tend to have basic lenses. I would read reviews on the lenses and see how they are rated. You might be better off buying the body and better lenses separately.
