Greetings from cairo

Hi guys, Ahmed here from cairo.
I have no personal interest in photography, standing behind a camera is certainly not for me on any level, however i am here cuz i have a girlfriend that has developed quiet a passion for photography sometime ago, she doesnt know where to begin herself and neither one of us has any idea about cameras, lens, whatever this is about we dont know squat.
Yep,complete newbies and i want her to do something she likes but she is the lazy one so i was hoping i can do some research here n there, maybe i can help point her in the right direction.

I am gonna observe for a while, and then maybe ask questions if i dont get it on my own, bear with me, being a newbie would be an upgrade for me, i am completely out of my element here.

Any tips would be highly appreciated.
