Hello there

I just joined after some weeks of meandering about the site. I recently purchased a Canon Rebel as my signature indicates. I have also purchased an instructional video / book set for my particular camera. But I am sure that I will be asking a lot of annoying questions in the Beginner's forum. So get ready!

Just figured I do an intro: I live in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. I am currently a student in his final year of a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (I am an older student :blushing:.) I enjoy Mathematics, Physics and Literature. I felt it was time to expand into an artistic realm of sorts and have always liked photography. My grandfather passed his old Nikkormat on to me years ago when he passed away. I messed around with it briefly, but then school took over my life.

So here I am, ready to give it another go with some newer equipment. I belong to many internet forums and always go by "Saladsamurai." So if you see me around elsewhere, be sure to say hello!
