I like these. Good angle and b/w was a good choise too. First one is my favorite. :D
 
I'd like to see more texture in the wood that is visible. But I really like these. I'm not sure which I like better but I have to say the the second one is a bit more interesting.
 
I like the first shot. IMO there is a lot more going on subject wise. But both are pretty nice shots.
 
I love that first one! Great shot and the subject is in a great place! Very nice composition!

Totally agree. I was half tempted to do some serious PS and bring the wood textures out. However, I don't really go in for serious editing so I decided to leave it as is. thanks for the comments.
