It's slanted, his skin is blown, he's OOF and you can't barely see the bride.

I find the back of his neck vary distracting, not because it was blown out but because the editing job on it turned it a weird great with a white halo.

Gotta expose the shot correctly to begin with. That's half the battle. Sometimes no amount of post can fix something like that.

First thing would be to not blow it out. It looks like it's catching your flash, maybe direct flash. Either bounce the flash so that it's not hitting a close subject directly, or don't use it.

You could probably get the same story line, without including so much of the groom.
I'd have to see an original version, but I'm wondering if/how much processing was applied and if that is contributing to the problem.

True. I had a split second to get the shot and the flash was set for her distance but obviously too bright for the groom because he was right next to me.

I prefer to see grooms face as he sees his bride.

Since it is black and white, there are some things you can do to kind of salvage it. However your photos are "not ok to edit" and you have disabled downloading on your flickr.
