Confused... Majority of your basis is the "appearance" of size? Not trying to poke fun or jest... But, really?

I said the 7d was a bit more pro for the following
Very customizable autofocus system which sports photographers could and do rely on as a backup camera.
Magnesium rugged body which has size environmental sealing.
8 fps at full resolution.
MF adjust for up to 20 lenses.
At the moment it is canons best crop sensor camera.

As said Nikon D300 series is similar. The D7000 is a nice camera that produces nice images but if a faster and tougher more reliable camera is required the d300 is also considered a bit more pro than the d7000

The D7000 will have been replaced by the D600, most likely, this autuum.

At least on the pictures of the frontside, it looks exactly like the D7000. Feature list also resembles D7000. Price tag - again close to D7000. Main difference is really just that its full frame.

d7100 is replacing the d7000. The d600 is an entry level full frame. Not even the same beast.

If the rumors are true, I don't see how it could possibly replace the D7000 without a focus motor.
