US schools have banned Halloween because officials are worried about offending real witches.

That's just plain stupid IMHO! What's next, banning X-mas for the fear of not offending people who don't observe it? :roll:

I agree. What's more embarrassing, is one of those schools is in my kneck of the woods. Just outrageous!

You know, my dog has never complained when kids come to the door dressed up as dogs...how do we know she's not offended? Mmy doctor has never complained that kids dress up as doctors.

Honestly. if you have nothing better to do than to get offended by all kids dressing up for halloween, you need to get out more. :roll:

How about a hit and run victim? Paint a tire black and run it up and down your shirt, paint your face like you're dead and bloody. Wear an old pair of torn up jeans. You can get stuff at the thrift store so it'll be a cheap costume too.

Keep the make up and fake blood down to a dull roar and it should be fine. My kids used this costume a couple years in a row. No one got scared over it and it was a big hit.
