You can go to these places.
One thing about SEA is that it can be done relatively cheaply.
My guess is that 3+ weeks in SEA cost me about $3k (including airfare from the East coast but maybe a bit more from Iowa) and that's not sharing a room and not skimping on places to stay.
Food is cheap $3-4 a meal and usually 2 meals a day.
An $8 meal is a rarity.

It is easily doable but it is not an easy vacation.

Travel is very hard with long plane flights, long bus rides on bad roads, marginal hot water and the ever present threat of killer diarrhea.

I got a pleasant (and not anonymous) PM about this picture and I did some editing to try a little something.
It was not tone mapped but eerily illuminated, perhaps by the sunlight bouncing off the bright cement floor and ceiling.

Any comments/preferences?

Relative is the key word here.

When you have very little disposable income most of the time, then it's not an option. Much as I'd like to go, I'd rather have a home (with my name on the papers) to come home to.

like the original better. Really don't see a LOT of difference though. bw seems it would be too busy anyway. Anything to separate out the stuff in the building better would help. maybe a little more contrast? Suppose it depends on your desired effect. Heap of stuff in that frame.

I doubt I ever will. Unless I start selling body parts (no kids to pawn off!).
