Hawk, 1st wildlife photo

Took this photo about a month ago. I wish the sky had been more interesting, but for my first attempt I didn't think it was too bad. I think Hawks are beautiful animals....

Love the focus, colours and all the detail you got on his feathers! What camera, lens were you using?

Thanks! It was shot with a Canon 10D, 70-200 lens handheld. The hawk kept diving down and I just happened to be outside taking photos of my kids. Would have missed it if I didn't have my camera totally ready!

Oh, most definitely! The bird was so tiny in the original shot that I cropped it to have the bird take up more presence in the photo. I was surprised that it was in focus at all.
